Hiroshi and Daisuke are students in Ranma's class at Furinkan High School. Like all the other boys at the school, they had an enormous crush on Akane Tendo. They were also upset when it was known that Ranma and Akane were engaged, but they swallowed their tears and moved on.

The duo became Ranma's friends and supporters, although they remain jealous of Ranma's engagement as well as his incredible luck with the ladies. They also want a chance to date one of the other women in Ranma's life, Daisuke even jokingly asking that Ranma "give him one" of his fiancées not long after Ukyo's introduction. They eventually learn about Ranma's curse and prefer to look at him when he is a girl. A pair of perverts and gossipers, Hiroshi and Daisuke are always telling everyone about the events of the school, mainly those concerning Ranma's life.

Trivia:

Hiroshi and Daisuke are among the few characters of Ranma ½, other than Kasumi and Nabiki Tendo who are not seen practicing martial arts.

In fanfiction, if they do appear, they are mostly always paired up with Akane's two friends Yuka and Sayuri, who are also in Ranma's class.
